🧪 DIY Toothpaste Cockroach Bait Recipe (Kill & Repel)

✅ Ingredients:
- 1 tablespoon white toothpaste (avoid gel types)
- 1 egg yolk (raw) – attracts cockroaches with its strong smell
- 1 tablespoon sugar – acts as bait
- 1 tablespoon flour (or rice flour) – helps with texture and binding
🧑🍳 Instructions:
- In a mixing bowl, combine:
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 tbsp toothpaste
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp flour
- Mix well until it forms a smooth, sticky dough.
- If the mixture is too wet, add a bit more flour to firm it up.
- Roll the mixture into small balls about the size of peas.
📍 How to Use It Effectively:
- Place the bait balls in areas where cockroaches are active:
- Under the sink
- Behind the fridge
- In kitchen corners
- Near drains or garbage bins
- Cracks and crevices
- Place the balls on small pieces of paper or inside bottle caps to protect your surfaces.
- Replace every 3–5 days, especially if they dry out or have been eaten.
⚠️ Tips & Warnings:
- Keep away from pets and small children.
- Avoid placing bait in wet or humid areas — it works best when dry.
- Don’t use insect sprays nearby, as they may repel cockroaches from the bait.
❓Why This Works:
- Egg yolk has a strong, natural scent that attracts cockroaches.
- Sugar draws them in.
- Toothpaste contains fluoride and menthol-like compounds that disrupt the cockroach’s digestive system.
- Once consumed, it can kill cockroaches over time and reduce the infestation.
