Clint Eastwood Confirms He Has No Plans to Retire at 95

Clint Eastwood, now 95 years old, has made it clear that retirement is not in his plans.

If you think i’m too old then you’re wrong.

In a recent interview with Kurier, he explained that age is no obstacle to creativity, saying:

“There’s no reason why a man can’t get better with age… I have much more experience today.”

Eastwood is already in pre-production for a new film, driven by his desire to keep learning and creating.

He also took the opportunity to share his thoughts on Hollywood’s current trends, criticizing the industry’s over-reliance on remakes, sequels, and adaptations. His message was direct:

“Do something new or stay at home.”

Eastwood expressed nostalgia for the golden era of Hollywood, when writers came up with original stories that inspired fresh films. His commitment remains to originality and innovation in storytelling.

In addition, a newly released biography, Clint: The Man and the Movies by Shawn Levy, has revealed details of his personal life, including numerous affairs during his 31-year marriage to Maggie Johnson—something he once described as “addictive… like you have to have another cigarette.” Johnson reportedly knew about the affairs but stayed in the marriage. The book also discusses his later relationships, including with stuntwoman Roxanne Tunis, with whom he had a child.

Meanwhile, a recent reflection on his 2000 film Space Cowboys marks it as a symbolic farewell to traditional summer blockbusters, highlighting his transition toward more introspective, mature films exploring aging, regret, and loss.

At 95, Clint Eastwood is still active, still directing, and still pushing for creativity and originality—retirement is nowhere on his horizon.
